CCSDS Set for COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway
$50,000 Possible To Win in Event Co-sanctioned with LOLMDS

Conway, Arkansas (08/17/20) – It’s officially the week of the biggest event on the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil tour. This Thursday – Saturday, August 20-22 the 28th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) comes to life.

The weekend, which is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), includes complete $5,000-to-win programs on Thursday and Friday before drawing to a close on Saturday night with the $40,000-to-win finale.

“For almost the past three decades, this has been ‘the event’ for racers and fans in our area. This is our region’s crown jewel, so it carries a lot of weight with it,” CCSDS CEO Chris Sullivan said. “Our series is honored to once again be a part of such a huge weekend of racing. We’ve got a really strong roster of racers this year, and I can’t wait to see who shines the brightest on the weekend’s big stage.”

Heading into the weekend, Missouri’s Logan Martin is the Midwest Sheet Metal Marked Man, and he holds a 61-point advantage atop the series standings. Residing in second is the current Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year point leader, Spencer Hughes.

Rounding out the current standings is defending CCSDS Champion, Timothy Culp, who is followed by B.J. Robinson, Rick Rickman, Morgan Bagley, Brian Rickman, Neil Baggett, Drew Armstrong, Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, Joe Godsey, Hunter Rasdon and David Payne.

Spencer Hughes continues to hold a commanding lead atop the Midwest Sheet Metal Rookie of the Year standings. Drew Armstrong and Joe Godsey round out the battle.

Through 16 CCSDS events this season there have been 12 different winners.

On the LOLMDS side of things, three-time series’ champ Jimmy Owens holds a commanding advantage over his foes in the championship battle. Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, Tyler Erb, Shane Clanton, Kyle Bronson, Devin Moran, Billy Moyer Jr., Tanner English, Shanon Buckingham, Earl Pearson Jr., Tyler Bruening, and Stormy Scott round out the current points.

On Thursday and Friday day the pit gate opens at 3:00 p.m. with grandstand gates opening at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 7:00 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing action to follow.

On Saturday the pit gate opens at 3:00 p.m. with grandstands opening at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 7:30 p.m. with hot laps at 8:00 p.m.

On Thursday and Friday a complete $5,000-to-win program is on tap for the CCSDS / LOLMDS Super Late Model contingent, while Saturday’s program includes b-mains for the CCSDS / LOLMDS racers and a 100-lap, $40,000-to-win finale.

IMCA Modifieds will contest a complete program all three nights.

Adult grandstand admission on Thursday and Friday is $25, while Saturday will be $30. An additional $5 will be charged for reserved seats, which are situated in the Top-5 rows of the grandstand area. Thursday and Friday pit passes are $35, while Saturday will be $40. A three-day pit pass can be purchased for $110.

The tire rule for the weekend is as follows:
Batesville Motor Speedway August 20th Tire Rule
Left Rear/Fronts - Hoosier Rib (28.5) 1350
Right Rear - Hoosier (92) LM40
*Must use the same set of 4 tires for Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Main.
*For the A-Main, competitors may use 2 new rear tires.
*Flat tire must be replaced with a used tire of the same compound and construction to retain starting position.

Batesville Motor Speedway August 21st Tire Rule
Left Rear/Fronts - Hoosier Rib (28.5) 1350
Right Rear - Hoosier (92) LM40
*Must use the same set of 4 tires for Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Main.
*For the A-Main, competitors may use 2 new rear tires.
