He might get a win at one of Ray Cook’s shows in 2022.

It's not only Bloomquist struggling but this is also affecting Weiss. With the passing of Randy Sweet I do not see good things coming with Team Zero Chassis. There only hope is the McDowell Brothers step in and help.

I think he's pushing him self to hard right now. So i would say he may go winless this year. Hopefully he'll have some time to heal this winter.

I don’t see him doing anything anytime soon. His days of lights out dominance are over. Randy Sweet’s passing has affected the quality of his cars, Ronny Crooks leaving Penske has hurt his progression of his shock package. You can tell he’s in pain but a good car will take you to the front. He’s not running 25th or not making the show because of his health. He just doesn’t have the speed. He’ll have to sell some more shirts to afford what Jimmy Owens is doing for speed right now.

I called them to buy a front bumper for my car a couple weeks ago and they said they had a great package deal.
$3500 for a bumper with nose support and nose already made on it and ready to go. I told em I’d get back with em......... I never got back with em.
I thought to myself, ya know if he needs some groceries I’ll give him some money, he doesn’t have to rape me with a $3500 bumper and nose.

Scott has stated that numbness in his legs is affecting him. It would appear that he will have to regain normal functions before he can apply his full driving skills. Maybe it will happen and maybe it won't, time will tell.

At his age, it’s really unlikely that he’ll ever fully heal. He’s had an incredible career, it’s kinda sad to see it end this way.

He told me over a year ago that the injury had little effect on him in the car. A couple months later we watched him in person win at Cochran on a hammer down track. He looked like the Bloomer of old, but that seemed surreal. What’s happening this year is just a continuation of something that was going on before the injury. He’s won one series championship in a dozen years, and that one was because Lucas changed the rules after JD’s historical year. Let’s stop pretending this decline is because of the injury. He’s still capable of a big win, albeit unlikely, but as for sustained success, I don’t think so. I’m just glad I still have the shirts, the memories, etc. Just like with Moyer and Moran, I’m just glad I got to see the greats, from beginning to end.

I’m not a huge Bloomer fan, but I appreciate him showing up to any race I watch. Especially anything at Eldora. Hopefully he will get it figured out, if not Bobby is kinda becoming what everyone always said Scott was lol.

Yea a slide job specialist. O wait, he uses up the other guy, no special skills needed. When Bob finally retires f'n Bobby Pierce will be no more.

Ugh, I think he's had a total hip replacement since your talk with him. I'm not saying he will EVER get to the Bloomquist of years past, but for a racer known as the best 100 lapped ever to not be able to feel his throttle foot?? If that feeling comes back, which he says doctors told him it would., then we will know if he's finished or not.

i agree with TerryM,s analysis , and i have known several people around his age that has had total hip replacement , and its rough , but i think ole bloomer still has another good run left in him , now to give credit , he has had a good bit of misfortune last few years......

The hip replacement though was after one year ago though. Before the numbness. I still believe he can come bsck from this. Time will tell.

All I know is if he has good lawyers, he will not miss out on a penny. He can sue for loss of income and be just fine. As long as the person who hit him has the money to pay.

It depends on who was at fault in the accident (I don't know if Scott or the other guy was at fault).
