MLRA is at the Davenport 1/2-mile on Thursday, April 15 and on the 1/4-mile Friday, May 14. Likely to be April and September LM specials, as well. Different promoters for these shows.

The 1/2 mile freight-train races are snoozers. The 1/4 mile races are much more exciting and feature passing (what I pay to watch).

The 1/2 mile freight-train races are snoozers. The 1/4 mile races are much more exciting and feature passing (what I pay to watch). I love the 1/4-mile for the entertaining racing it provides, but I do like to see one race a year on the Davenport 1/2-mile...mainly for nostalgia, I guess.

I am not a fan of the half mile. I had heard speculation about shortening the half to 3/8, not sure that could be done and keep the 1/4 intact.
