Old school of thought was always any weight removed from unsprung was good. Weight removed from rotating weight also good.
However, with some of the new thinking, use of weight at theses positions can be used to tune chassis and control traction/wheel acceleration. Some rules do not allow adding weight to axles, or weighted wheel spacers, so wheel weight becomes obvious choice. Some rules require stickered wheels, or minimum weight rule for wheels.

So, if are unable to spin the tires, and chassis working perfectly all the way around the track, light wheels are an advantage.
Next thought would be bang for the buck.

Now if it is good to have lighter wheel how much weight is needed to be dropped say from a standard 31lb. Beadlock wheel for example, to make a difference ?

Depends on what you call noticeable.

Put a standard wheel in place of the bead lock. That should be obvious, and not likely to drop more weight than that from a bead lock.
The results should be better acceleration, and better wheel control from shocks and springs.

Last sentance was what i was looking for. Might be able to drop as much as 8lbs. on the RF and 4 to 5 lbs. every where else. Thanks for the help.
