Steve Arpin, Kyle Strickler, Scott Bloomquist, & Jonathan Davenport testing. They are there consulting on track prep is kind of what they just said on the Bristol Dirt Nationals Facebook page live video before they test in about an hour.

They also just said Kyle Busch will make his debut in a super late model.

He said "They". The sarcastic "Um" wasn't necessary.

How can Kyle Busch make his Super Late Model debut when he won the Prelude in Bloomquists Latemodel?

The Um was perfectly fine

If I was a cup guy I’d be racing a street stock during that event not a super or a mod

Don't worry about it. The dude is a child. Just ask most of the race teams in Illinois.

128 mph that's to d*m fast, and that's average speeds. They need someone with a radar gun to see what corner entry speeds are. Can you imagine what the sprint t cars are going to do ! Let's hope for a safe race. Your going to have 2 classes of cars, one's with the biggest and baddest motors and the one's who can't afford it for one race.

She's dam fast! A 4 cylinder is turning laps faster then the cup cars did in 71'. To fast? Looks fun to me...

Wow on those lap times, and that's with lowered banking also.

There's not going to be much passing in late models - can't throw sliders at those speeds either.

The track is bound to slick off, especially with all the racing through the week and all of the classes that will be running Friday and Saturday when SLM are there.

Radar wouldn't be as a accurate as an on board GPS. The newer go pro cams have built in GPS, and also measure g-forces. That's what they need.

Interested to see how it holds up after all the rain that is coming over the next 2-3 days.

You better worry about how it holds up after they 300 or 400 hundred cars over it every night for a week look at the schedule of events.

Both cars were ridiculously fast 20 yrs ago...So fast the aluminum wheels wasn't holding up..... They either made everybody or they choose to...Steel Wheels!! Sprints, some were never lifting!!! After couple days of racing with all them classes, should slick off and slow down. I agree wth whomever said it, them cup racers should be racing Heavy ass street stockers, might be closer to what there cars will race like..?

I bet when the track does slick off you'll see everyone complaining about the dust. Then you have a visibility issue. 1 poster above said it, those wheel centers were not designed for that kind of stress.

From the PCC Motorsports Facebook page.
Here are a couple of laps with Kyle Strickler on the track in the #8. Video taken from the Bristol Motor Speedway infield.
That motor is singing. Except for maybe once it doesn't sound like he really let off the gas.

They better bring their best engines. Doubt they'll all be singing at the end of the day. Engine builders probably have their fingers crossed.

Track will be very similar to Wythe (20 years ago everyone tested at Wythe before Bristol, shapes are a little different but the banking was close). Wythe has a class (Super Street?) that would be good for the Cup drivers. In fact one of the regulars from Wythe ran very well at the Eldora truck race one of the first times NASCAR was there.
