World Of Outlaws Late Model Series Facebook page. Ruben just talked and said all WOO LMS Platinum teams (Teams that have signed to run with the series in 2021) have the opportunity to test tonight. 9 teams are there and others could should up later.

It's on Bristol Motor Speedway's Socials not the WoO's.

Looking at Race Montior Sheppy ran a 15:4. Cup pole time is right around 15.0 or faster even 14.6

Everyone at Rocket1 working on the car. They have the computer out. Work table. Dyno. Etc. Other teams just standing around.

Yes 14.56 is the NASCAR blacktop record.

Also 13.86 (Sammy Swindell, Swindell Motorsports, 2000, World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series

is the sprint record on dirt.

These races have me concerned. I'm talking all divisions. I hope I'm 100% wrong, but I have a bad feeling about this deal.

If you have never walked in that place you just don't get it... It's too fast, it's not gonna race good, blah blah blah. Who cares, it is a historic track covered in dirt. If it widens out great if it doesn't oh well. Enjoy that someone is taking a chance on it. You might see a better race at your sh!thole local track but I guarantee if you go to Bristol in person you will not be disappointed with the environment.

That's why it'll be Blue #1 atop the WoO point standings again. Kick em while they're mediocre, cause it won't last long. Not going to outwork that bunch.

They are going to have the track dryslick from top to bottom so hopefully it races better then

Too fast often equals no side by side racing.

Thats because all the teams standing around have bought cars and parts from Rocket to allow them to have computers, work table and dyno.

Monkey in a Rocket win, monkey buy Rocket.

Yep, the faster you go, the further you are ahead for the W! 😉

Too fast often equals no side by side racing.

Volusia was fast a couple months ago. But the racing stunk.

The fastest qualifying lap at Volusia I believe was a 15.839 during the sunshine Nationals last month.

They had a table, laptop and shock dyno out. I'd venture to guess 99% of all late model teams have those items in their hauler.

To fast? You have to be kidding me, racing is about going fast. And if a track is bad fast with one groove, it’s the same as a rubbered up track. Boring.

What good is it sitting in the hauler and not down on pit lane where the cars are parked and worked on

I didn't see anyone else with it set up pit side last night.

Any True Racer would love the challenge of running Bristol. However , not all can get the time off from work to run Bristol. I would love to have my Mod on the track. Today race cars are built to be as safe as possible. I expect the races to be quite safe for the drivers.

Rocket 1 team had data acquisition on the house car. Had some pretty crazy load numbers.

I think something that people don't get sometimes is that when a track gets that fast, most of the time, its only that fast in one line around the track, so to keep up you have to race that line, but you can't pass. I've seen this a lot at Tazewell over the years.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope there's 2 good fast grooves where better cars can pass.
As important as aero is in Late Models these days, I do wonder if the cars will get so tight in traffic that they can't pass.

Tazewell can be a real racy track, if a black streak doesn't set up in the high groove.

Maybe the new clay can be worked a bit deeper to minimize this.

They need to take a rock hound around tazewell. We went down a couple times last year, and you could literally see the rocks in the dirt and up by the wall where they had been kicked up the race track. It's probably a good thing the fans dont sit close to the track there.

I'm not bashing the place, I thought it was awesome. We went down for the July southern nats race. All the flat tires that night really killed what could have a been a really good race.

Sounds like they finally stirred up rocks from deep in the soil or they were tracked onto the surface by equipment or cars. Whatever, it needs cleaned up, maybe the new clay has fixed the problem.
