In my view us folks who like racing down here have had a very encouraging start to racing still with many tracks yet to open.

Moulton opened under new and untested folks in control with the first 2 races having 110 and 100 cars.

Boyds opened up with what I have been told and monster crowd and 140 cars.

North Alabama opened up last Saturday with 125 cars and a huge crowd, I went to that race and it was great to see North Alabama in goods hands, looking good with a great turnout.

Next up is my track, Talladega Short Track holding practice Saturday and then opening up on the 27th.

In my biased view, TST has the absolute best overall schedule of any track in Bama. Lucas, SAS, CRUSA, USCS, NVRA and multiple division specials.

I don't call 11 cars at Clarksville for 5 grand an 20 at Florence for 10 grand a good start.

34 on friday for $3000 and 34 again on saturday for $7000 for the Comp Cams show seems like a pretty decent start to me.

Another positive sign is that TST had 93 cars for practice yesterday. Started at 1:03pm and wrapped up at 5:55pm. Track was nice for a daytime deal, opening night on the 27th.
