Sounds like a pretty fast track 100 mph averages during practice. Ryan Gustin has a $40k USMTS win there.

Isn’t that the race that he outdueled Bloomquist?

Really cool setting, quality facilities they keep upgrading. Good racing too. Wish I coulda made the 5 hr trek down. I think that’s gonna be a heck of a show. From a National standpoint, I expect you’ll be seeing more out of that track in the future.

Racing in the south sucks. Midwest racing is awesome. Who are these northerners you’re referring to? A real fan loves the thunder.

I have never heard anyone "write off Midwest tracks north of Interstate 70" before, in real life or on this board. Midwest tracks are probably better anyway because red clay dirt usually makes for bad racing.

I have heard there are frost warnings in some areas of the upper Midwest. May be a good idea to wear a good heavy jacket or snowmobile suit. Do they serve hot chocolate or chili dogs at the track ? Nothing like a chili dog to help warm a person up.

Congrats to RocketShepp ! Sounds like the track was quite racy with a number of drivers advancing several positions. I was surprised by how many local racers and young racers showed up. I was really surprised to see McCreadie was there. I wonder if McCreadie went to the ER to get the stones flushed out. When I was in my early twenties I got a tiny little kidney stone , but it sure caused pain and abdominal muscle spasms . I did not get comfort until I went to ER and had the kidney stone flushed out by having a saline IV put into my arm. Hopefully McCreadie can be back for the big race tomorrow.

You're absolutely correct...I'm surprised you see the difrance!! I realized you were right all along about everything... I will start taking donations in order to buy every series and sanctioning body in all of DLM racing so you can run it. There would never be any unearned victory, upset drivers, upset fans, rain outs, delays, or one lane tracks ever again. The sport would prosper, car counts would grow, and it would overtake the NFL as the top spectator sport in the US. Then you can become Emperor of America. I sure am glad Pierce won a race that he somehow didn't earn so that I could finally see the light...

With this cool weather , the engines should be making maximum horsepower and the track should retain moisture. Should be some good fast racing. Who looked fast last night , but did not get the finish he deserved ? Ryan Gustin ?

Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Gustin get a win there if he can keep it together. Even though he’s never won at Outlaw race, I’d consider him one of the favorites tonight. His type of track and it shows in his history there in a Mod. Should be another great show. Those people know what they’re doing there. Hopefully TMac will be feeling well enough to run.

Deer Creek and MTS are both on my bucket list.

Can’t go wrong at either. MTS and Cedar Lake ownership have a great relationship and are working well with each other. It’s a shame Deer Creek can’t be part of that mix because that is 3 top tier/well run places within a couple hours of each other. Tough to do though because there are only so many prime nights to race.

Yes MTS, Deer Creek and Cedar Lake always put on a good show. Watched the recap of MTS from Friday and Saturday and wow the track was perfect. A week ago everyone said WOO sucks and everyone is dropping off the tour. 39 Super LateModels is a great car count considering there isn’t a lot of Super Late Models in the area. Great Show.

It was a great show on both nights but Saturday was tops. MTS is a really nice facility and they keep making it better. Next year's date is already locked and they say it will have a larger payout. If that's the case, I'd love to see a 75 or 80 lapper.

The nice thing about this track is they have equipment on hand to make things happen. A local implement dealer loaned three very large Fendt tractors to show off and use for track prep. During the farming session they kept a show going on the inner fifth mile with carts and mini sprint carts which was better than nothing. A lot of folks actually seemed to like that.

Every time I have gone to MTS I see something else they have improved on with the facility. They are sure going to need more room if this continues because there was a whole lot of campers at track and general spectators were finding parking to be a premium.

Hats off to Bob Timm and company for a great job providing this show.
