It hasn't been good Ole Don Martin's Lernerville speedway for a long long time. MARTIN NEVER WOULD HAVE CHARGED FOR CAMPING #1 He treated the racer with respect and honesty. If you had a gripe about something he was open to listening and then give you his side to ponder. Martin was a stickler for that pit gate swinging open and the first heat rolling at 7:30 on the nose.

When they had free camping the riff raff would camp and cause problems and steal stuff and never even pay to see the races, so they had to start charging for camping. It did solve that problem.

It was the year Scott had the same green paint scheme that he had at this years Dream. Tommy Hicks was still wrenching for him. I think it was the start of the RY engine program too.

Locked down on the bottom in the heats, track was not what I expected, then on top of it you bring in that crate racing garbage 100 cars beating on the surface. Why ? You could plainly see the dust, dry surface, kicking up in the heat races. O well, money grab, let's hope for a better surface tonight.
