I didn’t realize it was Sunday. Not sure if that will help or hurt car count with Eldora looming on Wednesday. That’s a very quick turn around...

Got some wet stuff coming within the next half hour or so. I dont think it'll slow them down much, they know how to prep a race track.

I can't believe how few cars and fans are here.
Always said they couldn't get 20 cars but man this is nuts.
I hope they don't cancel this.

Do they still let the freeloaders watch from the backstretch hillside? Always found that a lil strange.

Cole Terbo waxes the field. BMJ was the only driver who could stay within half a lap of the 46.

Decent race and track, but........whats that single file restarts with the cone way up on the track all about! Some of the best racing is on the restarts when some cars dont fire as well! smh

Are you talking about the hill above turns 3 and 4 that they call tailgate row? They charge general admission up there.

When they first changed the track they had a lot of problems with everyone diving to the bottom on restarts causing a big cluster $&@/, causing lots of cautions and torn up cars. So they went to the cone.

I agree it was placed a little to high tonight. It was also ridiculous that the official would stand right beside the cone on the track on the restarts in the legend class. I know the last time I was there the cone wasn’t that high and some wasn’t staying nose to tail until the green dropped. I don’t know if that’s why the pushed the cone so far up the track or not and maybe that’s why the official was always out on the track on restarts in the legend class.

I might have been out of the loop but I didn't hear about this race until today. Did they promote this event pretty well? For $1000 to start I would think the car count would have been stronger regardless of the Dream being 3 days away.

They were only starting 20 cars to begin with. So the number of cars that showed up ended up being the perfect number.

It was originally scheduled as WoO race a few weeks ago but got rained out. WoO couldn't find a replacement date. So it was rescheduled as an unsanctioned race with today's date. I believe the date was announced the same day the WoO show got rained out.

The speed difference in some of those on track cars was huge. I didn't know if they were track packers or antique late models

There was actually a much higher percentage of the feature cars running laps within a second of the winner, than the woo race at Plymouth.

Huh? I’ve heard the old configuration (the big track) called a motor eater, but I haven’t heard of it being called that since they made it shorter years ago. It doesn’t eat anymore motors than the rest of the tracks in the area.

MasterSbilt_Racer

It definitely was an engine eater in the old days. It's still a track where you continuously carry rpm, much like PRP. Both will expose a weak link if it's there.
