Dennis Erb, Jr. Rallies to Sixth in 27th Annual DLM Dream; WOOLMS Triple Shot Next

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) A very lucrative week at Eldora Speedway took place from June 9-12, as a pair of 'Dirt Late Model Dreams' were held at the storied Rossburg, Ohio oval. Last Wednesday evening in his Twin 25 preliminary program, Dennis Erb, Jr. grabbed the fifth transfer spot through his heat race before finishing nineteenth in his $10,000 to win feature. At the "Big E" last Thursday, Dennis placed eleventh in his stacked heat race before advancing up to finish third in his B-Main. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then blasted past nineteen competitors during the $127,000 to win headliner to land in the sixth position after 100 green flag circuits behind only victor Brandon Overton, Tim McCreadie, Kyle Bronson, Dale McDowell, and Brandon Sheppard!

The 26th Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream' then took center stage at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant over the weekend. In Friday's $10,000 to win Twin 25, Dennis ran fifth in his heat race before climbing five spots during his 25-lapper to claim a fourteenth place feature showing. All eyes were then fixated on capturing the $126,000 top prize in Saturday's crown jewel extravaganza. Unfortunately, Dennis suffered terminal engine problems while in a transfer position during his heat race and was unable to advance into the 100-lap biggie that was ultimately won again by Brandon Overton. Full results from all four days of racing action at Eldora Speedway can be located online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Dennis Erb Racing will rejoin the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series tour this upcoming weekend (June 17-19) in a tripleheader in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. Up first will be a visit to Stateline Speedway in Busti, New York tonight, while the #28 team will then make the trip to Thunder Mountain Speedway in Knox Dale, Pennsylvania on Friday and Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania on Saturday. All three WOOLMS shows this weekend will boast a $10,000 paycheck and Dennis comes into the triple shot seventh in the latest version of the national series point standings.
