The difference in bearings is just as much as the REM finish, meaning a cheap/import bearing is say 100 units of friction and a good bearing like a Timken is say 75 units. If you REM a cheap/import bearing it will end up just slightly less friction then a unaltered Timken at say 70 units. Now obviously REM a Timken bearing will be way lower like say 50 units.

However money is generally better spent on handling/tires then spending a bunch on bearings. I mean say it take 1 extra HP to roll those wheel bears, when was the last time you actually won because you had 5 extra HP?

Buy a quality bearing pack lightly with grease and Go down the road. Now wheel bearing spacers make more difference as far as drag then special bearings or low drag seals.
