I would have to say no. Base setup maybe but to make the right calls on adjustments? From qualifying, to heat races, to A Main? I'd say no. Ive seen him do routine maintenance and such but that's about it. Not knocking him for it. When you can drive the car and have someone like Bob (who knows these cars inside and out from a drivers viewpoint to a builder), he can tell what the car needs by watching. With that knowledge, and Bobby's input, Bob makes adjustments where needed. Great tool to have but someday Pappy WILL retire. We'll see what happens then.
