Cory Hedgec ock Takes Two in Toilet Bowl Finale
Wins Super Late Model and Crate Racin’ USA Saturday Finales at Clarksville

LOUDON, Tenn. (03/07/22) – Another week and two more wins. That’s what Cory Hedgec ock was able to achieve in Super Late Model and Crate Late Model action during Saturday night’s Tuckasee Toilet Bowl finale at Tennessee’s Clarksville Speedway.

With a $7,500 Super Late Model triumph and a $3,000 Crate Late Model victory aboard his E-Z-GO / Noble Knights Construction Services No. 23 Budget Transmission / K&P Used Cars / Black Diamond Race Car / Eagle Racing Engine Super Late Model entries, Cory pushed his 2022 win total to four.

“We’ve got quite the hotrods right now, and we’ve got more momentum than we’ve had in a long time. I really hate that the Lucas Oil (Late Model Dirt Series) events for 411 (Motor Speedway) for this coming weekend got canceled because that place has been really good to us and with the speed we have now, I truly believe we had something for them,” Hedgec ock said. “We’ll just get ready to roll into Talladega Short Track next weekend for the COMP Cams (Super Dirt Series) and Crate Racin’ USA doubleheader.”

Friday night found Cory Hedgec ock in action at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.), competing in his Black Diamond Chassis No. 23 Super Late Model for the opening round of the Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic. In a field of 23 cars, Cory’s second-place finish in his heat race positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $3,500 on the line, Hedgec ock improved one spot in the 25-lapper to place fourth.

In his Super Late Model on Saturday, Hedgec ock secured his spot into the finale with a heat race victory. After overtaking early race-leader Dennis Erb Jr. on lap 14, Cory raced to his third win of the season in the 40-lapper, which came ahead of Erb Jr., Jadon Frame, Rusty Schlenk, and Tanner English.

For the Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series portion, Cory’s 13.482-second lap in time trials placed him on the pole for the feature. Leading wire-to-wire, Hedgec ck cruised to his second win of the weekend and fourth of the season. His $3,000 payday elevated his weekend earnings to $10,500.
