Local race teams have been asking for an affordable place to race on a weekly basis and we have listened. Jackson County Speedway operator Mark Andrus, and Layin1Down Promotions owner, Brad McCown have come to agreement that will see Jackson County Speedway re-opened this summer with plans to operate on a regular basis. Andrus has been working hard on his junkyard business on the lower lot of the property and that will continue while McCown will be responsible for all of the race events on the property. Specific dates are up in the air as updated lighting and fence work in the corners must be completed before any racing programs are scheduled, eyeing a Mid-July restart date weather permitting. While additional details will be released at a later time you can expect to see a Friday Evening schedule of Modifieds and or Steel Block LM as Premier weekly classes plus SportMods, SCDRA Compacts, Crown Vics, and on a regular basis. With $25 Pit Admission and $12 General Admission with Seniors and Veterans $10 for regular events as well as special events for Super Late Models, 410s, Legend Cars and 305s with affordable admission prices also.
