Sadly, I can only list 10, but who wins it?

If you pick "Someone Else", name your winner.

I picked someone else.

Dennis Erb Jr. <> very good at Eldora when his car is right and he's having a good year.

Hard to not pick JD, but who knows what that track surface is going to be like. Longhorns excelled at a smooth track going through the middle but if the Johnny Appleseed Classic was any indicator, it'll be whoever doesn't break their stuff and has a lof of off roading experience. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bobby Pierce wins it.

Out of the ones on the list I'd love to see McDowell win it or Bloomer. Be great comeback story of sorts with Dale dealing with Cancer and Bloomer for everything he's gone through. Betting wise though, I'd put my money on JD.

Would love for a Cinderella story with someone truly not expected to win but doubt it will happen. Who would be considered the last true Cinderella winner as far as World 100/Dream 100 goes?

Maybe Erb jr? Perhaps Casebolt's 2007 Dream 100 win?

the killer kyle bronson

He'd have a good shot if it was 40 laps.

Picked Erb a few weeks ago in a different thread. Sticking with Dennis and Heather.

anyone but Davenport or Overton.

I give Overton about 60% chance. Davenport about 30%
My preference would be someone else. A big surprise winner would be great. I expect the track to be its usual self. Tony is making sure of that. This is why my own odds

Steven and his brother even races still? Last I heard they were promoting a race track either Willard or 201 Speedway in Kentucky.

Would be cool if one or both showed up.

Stephen still races some here and there. His brother Jarrod owns 201, which is supposed to be opening up again. Jarrod doesn't race anymore.

Thanks for your input, guys. It's pretty much what I expected. I wanted to put Dennis Erb, Devin, Owens and Marlar on the list. I find it interesting how the poll compares to the so called experts.

I'll be rooting for JD, but I voted for Overton. I'd love to see Bloomer or Dale McDowell win though. I'd really like it to be one of the older guys though. The kids will have their turn some other time. The guys in their 40s and 50s probably won't get another chance. I do think the winner will be driving a Longhorn or a Bloomquist car though, but that's why they run the races. I can wait.

I learned my lesson. If the 44 shows up he has a great chance to win. I’m impressed with him and his team.

The problem is you have to look at 100 laps vs 40 or 50. It is going to be tough to beat JD or Overton if they make the show and start somewhere in the first six rows. AS I have said, I would like to see someone else win it. Ferguson, Madden are certainly interesting choices. I would throw in Hudson Oneal believe it or not if he makes the show and gets a good starting spot.

Bottom line though is who is going to run the race with the patience needed to be strong the last 20 laps, that is going to also be a big test

Who I would really like to see win it I will keep to myself. Nobody cares who I am pulling for, nor should they LOL. I have been around this sport since my grandfather built Glen Este speedway in 1949, and while I was a toddler then, I can say I pretty much seen it all, at least in the midwest

Lots of quality cars going to be in the house. Im gonna take the field even though you likely listed 9 of the main event starters. Erb Jr., Pearson, Moran, Thornton, Satterlee, and some others with success at Eldora have had good starts to their year. It will be interesting to see what the track is like over the next few days.

Just for curiosity sake, I wonder what Vegas type odds are on a bet like that? Also, I wonder what the Vegas type odds would be if you’d put your two of your three in a quinella box, or win place or show.

Lurker,

For decent odds, we'd need one of those folks who keep track of all the stats to do an RPI type analysis like used to be done for college basketball. Then all drivers get a predictor score. That's how Vegas does all sports. I'd be interested in seeing the results as well. This isn't the Moran, Moyer, Bloomer days, but IMO, there are 3 clear cut favorites.
