I see they're running IMCA lates and mods, also. Might have to take a long drive on Thursday.

He ran well the few times I seen him last year. Hope he sticks it out.

track was way too dry and even tho they farmed, it never got much better. they need to bank the frontstretch alot more too. i was sitting even with the scoring transponder all night. the racing was average honestly, tho better than kankakee & peoria which were subpar. glad to see the little whiner break and simpson win! #ABP

Watched from home. I thought the racing was good in the heats and consi, but I'm thinking they missed it slightly for the feature (at least based on the driver's saying it wasn't in shape to start and was pretty top dominant for the first part). The bottom obviously came in, but served the "hard chargers" more so than those up front (even though Simpson was married to the bottom).

I did wonder:

*Why wasn't Chad Simpson given his spot back since a lap had not been completed? I guarantee we see this exact scenario again before the tour is over (I'd bet at Farmer City), but wondering if the outcome will be the same?

*Why was Gardner given a provisional (23rd starting spot) that didn't exist in the first two races/formats? Seemed like a make-up for what happened in the consi, which I thought was just good hard racing between him and Parker. Bob sure made the most of it though, great run through the field.

*I can't help but wonder what the outcome would've been if Erb, jr. was able to keep one of the first two starts he got. Looked like he was shot out of a cannon coming out of 2...

That place definitely provides some unique lines and interesting passes. It's so wide! I think it warrants more than 40 laps, too, based on that...but what do I know?

You should be a fan of the little whiner cause that's all you ever do!
