Word is he got hit in the helmet/face and is out for the Dream.

Maybe its time to bring them bars closer together in front of the driver?

Windscreens possibly?

Windscreens possibly?

its a fine line as if they are too close then you cant see or will clog with mud. 2 head injuries in 2.5 weeks is not good for sure.

Clanton and Ricky had another scrape during the day portion. I figured more would come from that..

I think you’ll start seeing those wire screens used on big block mods and sprint cars make their way to late models.

The spacing on some of those bars are wide enough to throw a softball through.

Time will tell, but I'm guessing not!!!

You would expect a fight between a mud ball and a coconut would be won by the latter.🤔

Clanton could get hit in the head by a rock at 120 mph and the rock would have to go to the hospital.

We always had to run a screen across the windshield area.

Pretty sad that some people think it is funny that a driver got injured.

Try having a conversation with him and you'll very quickly realize he brings it all on himself.

Bummer! was kinda rooting for the guy....Safety first..gotta find a better way to protect these racers.....I know them guys (eldora) had an uphill battle to provide the racers a track to race on.(It looked like it had some character to it) mother nature hasn't helped..... Yea I saw Sprinters had a different 'bar' setup....I thought now a days racers wore full face helmets, are they that crappy or is the stuff just like a grenade when it hits them? (I aint no racer, just watch).

Its like getting hit in the head with a Randy Johnson fastball, helmet or not.

Bars in front of driver and screens reduce issues. Everyone complained about surface when Richard's took shot and now Clanton. Could we be looking in wrong area? Maybe it's not track but equipment we wear or build?

I noticed a lot of extra screening acrossed the bars that are already in there this weekend in the pits

Still sad you enjoy seeing a driver get injured. Seems you are the one with the real problem.

Great T-shirt idea - I believe there would be huge sales of the dirt clod popping the clod-head.

No chassis sales, no sponsorship interest, no fans, no crew chief, no crew...

The crazy thing is, that until they started mandating it, alot of drivers didn't have anything.
Bloomquist used to never have the bars in front of him.

They should all implement a wider guard directly in front of the (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)pit. And not the bars some are currently using. I'm talking something much wider. Similar to what they have in Formula 1.

'ol Tomato head ought to be sending a check to Ricky Weiss. Thankfully Weiss made a business decision to regroup & rebuild after Eldora & that decision likely was the biggest single factor in his running as he did in Kansas. Had the 7 been there, 'ol Tomato head would have been obsessed with overdriving his car to get to the 7 and cause a racing incident like he does at every other opportunity when the two are on the same track.

$40k won't buy a personality, won't buy common sense either.

Did it knock any sense into him?Perhaps it finally, hopefully did if he was able to finish a race without running over someone or he wasn't out to kill somebody after the race ?
