Limiting the RR with a chain a good idea of bad idea?
I know it's a loaded question, just debating it in my head.

I'm thinking it would have little effect on entry off throttle, maintain roll steer at mid corner and tightening exit by preventing the RR from raising ON throttle, until the RR hits a hole/rut then it's no telling what happens when the RR is no longer compliant.

I like it in the slick but when there's grip I'm really tight which makes sense if you think about it because you are keeping the RR spring loaded and not allowing it to come off the spring.

I think it makes the car much more consistent, once you adjust to it. Without one, your rr ride height in the middle of the straight can be wildly different depending on track conditions and track shape.

Whats a common starting point from RH? 1" of slack?

If you have no data, I'd probably start at 1.5" and start adjusting based on what happens there. Try 1/4" adjustments from there.
