Dennis Erb, Jr. Claims Pair of Top Fives in Harvest Hustle; Fairbury Doubleheader Ahead
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing made their way to Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois on September 30-October 1 for the 2nd edition of the 'Harvest Hustle.' The Lucas Oil MLRA Series doubleheader kicked off last Friday night in the Land of Lincoln with a $5,000 to win tussle.
Dennis Erb, Jr. placed third in his loaded heat race before advancing three spots during the 40-lap feature en route to a solid fifth place performance behind only victor Chad Simpson, Brian Shirley, Jason Feger, and Frank Heckenast, Jr. In Saturday's weekend finale, which boasted a $7,000 top prize, Dennis secured a heat race victory, but slipped back to fifth at the checkers in the 50-lapper to trail only race winner Jason Feger, Jeff Larson, Brian Shirley, and Chad Simpson. The #28 team will now turn their focus to Fairbury Speedway on October 7-8 for a doubleheader dubbed as ‘FALS Frenzy.’ The MARS Racing Series will sanction the action at the downtown Fairbury, Illinois oval, which kicks off later tonight with a $5,000 to win throwdown. On Saturday night at FALS, the double-dip will be headlined by a 50-lap finale that boasts a $15,000 first place prize.
