Rodney Sanders Sweeps Tri-State Late Model Action at Murray County
Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals at Vado Speedway Park Next Up

HAPPY, Tex. (10/10/22) – Rodney Sanders broke out the broom in RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series competition over the weekend.

He piloted his Wichita Tank Racing / Paulson Rock Products / Stussy Construction No. 20 Texas Locomotive Solutions / Kenny’s Tile / ARMI Contractors/ MB Customs Late Model to back-to-back triumphs at Minnesota’s Murray County Speedway.

“It was a fun weekend for our team. We swept the Late Model action both nights, and while we had a little bad luck in the Modified on Friday night, we got a runner-up finish on Saturday night,” Sanders noted. “We’re taking this weekend off to get ready for the Fall Nationals at Vado (Speedway Park). I always enjoy going to Royal’s (Jones) place, and we’re looking forward to being back there next week.”

Taking part in a doubleheader weekend with the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series, Rodney Sanders returned to the driver’s seat of his No. 20 Late Model on Friday afternoon at Murray County Speedway (Slayton, Minn.).

With 18 cars entered for the Minnesota Dirt Nationals opener, Sanders improved one spot in his heat race to pick up the win.

Leading flag-to-flag in the 25-lap feature, Rodney cruised to his second-straight victory with the series. He earned $1,500 ahead of Nate Beyenhof, John Kaanta, Tyler Myers, and Blair Nothdurft.

Also competing in his Modified, Rodney started the night off with a heat race victory but retired early in the A-Main with four laps remaining.

On Saturday, Sanders followed up a sixth-to-second run in his Late Model heat race with a dominant performance in the 30-lap feature. He grabbed the lead on drop of the green flag and never looked back, soaring his second win of the weekend and 14th of the season. The win was worth $1,500.

In his Modified, Rodney marched from the 10th-starting position in the feature to place second. He trailed Brandon Beckendorf to the checkers with Curt Lund rounding out the podium.
