I have an 04 Smackdown with the original style lift bar that bolts to the side of the bell. Running as a limited late. Opinions if this set-up is okay or should I update to the newer style with heims? Thanks

The typical diagonal link back to rear end style: Will be freer on the gas
vs
The typical short link to right frame rail style: Will be tighter on the gas

We run the birky style that has heims but still braces to the rear. You can upgrade to that if you want. Your old one is probably due to fail at some point.
