Softer spring with Preload on Mods, so stopping the droop helps getting the shock off easy. Since the spring and shock are seperate. The geometry of the clips produce a lot of droop travel thats useless.

it might be seriously wrong...but those harris cars are seriously fast. currently leading imca national points and won the USMTS opener

I was addressing the use on a late model, specifically. The non-racing use on a mod makes sense.

Using them on alot of stock clip applications, it’s a way to run soft but still have some rate in your 1-2” travel range so you don’t crash through your travel. The spring acts stiff until it overcomes the preload in the chain. It’s the same concept as like a Joes Racing Preloader.

^^your spring is actually rated at infinity, until your preload is overcome.
