Could see a number of Illinois cars as well since Peoria Cancelled earlier this week. They one thing that will hurt this show is Florence Speedway running the rescheduled Spring 50 today for $10,000 to win as well.

No. Paragon Speedway is located in Paragon, Indiana. Bloomington Speedway is located in Bloomington, Indiana. The two tracks are about 45 minutes apart and Paragon is just a bit south of I-70 not far from the Lincoln Park Speedway. The folks that run Paragon just poured new concrete bleachers on the front strait away and other updates. Should be a good show for the fans and teams. It’s been a long time since super late models have raced there at Paragon. They have a 2-day $20,000 to win American Crate All Star Series show mid summer as well.

Been to Paragon Speedway several times for sprint cars and midgets. Paragon reminds me of the Martinsville NASCAR track. It's like a paper clip, probably a 3/8ths track, semi banked, and narrow. As HDF says, the new owners have poured a lot of money into the track. The new bleachers are very impressive, plus they added a scoreboard. New lighting was on the upgrades, too. They have really expanded their schedule this year with a wide variety of divisions and races. Hope they have a great season with all their investments.

I went there once. The track has long straight aways and short sharp turns. They have not ran late models for quite some time. The track was a bit narrow back when I was there. Charlie Swartz was there the night I was there and he stood the car up on it's nose going into turn three. It could have been a really bad crash but was not. The drive shaft actually dropped at the transmission and dug right into the overly tacky clay. That's not supposed to happen, someone failed to inspect it I suppose.

It had rained so much that week that the clay actually kept sinking, no matter how much they tried to pack it.

These days the track is usually pretty dry for the sprints.
