Wow Cardirt and Litey are for sure heartbroken!

I don't know about litey but, cardirt I wouldn't be surprised just how he would say he was so sick he couldn't even go to the races anymore

Richie was always one t to add some excitement to the race. I know his health had not been well for quite some time rest in peace.

Richie roughed up my sister in laws favorite driver one time so she was NOT a fan. My wife and I had Richie pose for a pic next to his car, we then had 100 copies made of that pic. One night while she was out of town my wife and I went over and put those 100 pics all over her house. In drawers, cabinets, in between clean clothes in her dresser, you name it… there was a pic of The Hitman!
“You guys really put 60 pictures in my house?!?!” No, we put 100 pictures in there!! Keep looking!!
We told Richie about it one night and he was crying laughing. We hung out with him a bit after that. He was a lot of fun to hang out with back then!

Really sad to lose this Central IL fan favorite. Richie was definitely a hard-nosed competitor. He was definitely fun to watch at Macon. He'd rip that top groove and bang off the wall for sure. RIP racer.

Sorry to hear that. Raced against him some back in the old Northern Allstars days. I think he skipped Florence one weekend, went to Brownstown instead, and won. My condolences to his friends and family.
