Southern Nationals Contest at I-75 Raceway Postponed Until Wednesday, July 19 Due to Impending Storms

(SWEETWATER, TENNESSEE) With strong storms building to the west and the increasing chance of severe weather in the Sweetwater, Tennessee area for right at race time, tonight’s third round of the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing at I-75 Raceway has been postponed one day to Wednesday, July 19. The exact same program will take place tomorrow evening with a $7,553 top prize up for grabs for the Super Late Models. Wednesday will now mark the fourth visit by the Southern Nationals tour to the Volunteer State venue, as Cory Hedgec0ck ('20), Dale McDowell ('21), and Cory Hedgec0ck ('22) are previous winners.

On Wednesday, July 19, the pit gates will open at 2:00pm and tier parking will open an hour later at 3:00pm. The grandstands will start to allow patrons into the facility at 4:30pm and the drivers meeting will be held in the pit area at 6:45pm. Hot laps will then take to the racetrack starting at 7:00pm. Joining the Super Late Models on the racing card will be the Sportsman ($600 to win), 602 Late Model ($600 to win), B-Sportsman ($150 to win), FWD ($350 to win), and Jr. FWD divisions.

Pit admission for tomorrow’s Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals show will be $40.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids. Tier parking admission will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids. Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for adults and only $10.00 for kids. Those children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE!

Body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. The entry fee will be $100.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent. Any driver not advancing into the feature field will receive $75.00 in tow money.

The following tire rule will be in effect for ALL Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series events during the course of the 2023 racing season:
