Wish #1 is for a good race. SOME people still go there for the racing. If it doesn’t improve eventually people will stay home.

Wish #2 is for someone besides Davenport to win. This kind of goes with #1, they need different people winning.

If Davenport starts on the first 3 rows, nobody will touch him. JD struggles with starting in the rear or mid-pack, but if hes upfront, Be prepared for another snoozer. Whatever those engineers have figured out, JD is almost unbeatable at Eldora. From a green flag start on the front row, JD has a 2 second lead coming out of turn 2, Who can compete with that?

Hoping to see B. Overton get the win. Love the tribute wrap to Ed Bassey. Says he's finally starting to feel back close to 100% after hurting his back and neck at the Dream in that crashes he suffered.

Not sure what clean air he had from starting 14th to end up finishing 4th and right on 3rd place McCreadie's rear bumper. My pick is Davenport for his 6th World 🌎 100.

No doubt! He was sandbagging in qualifying. Both of his laps were slower than he ran in hot laps. My guess is that they wanted to see what the car could do in traffic. JD is gonna turn this into a clown show again.

I m agreeing with the last 2 posts. 14th to 4th was impressive, and I to think they sand bagged to see how the car raced in traffic. To early to get excited about Saturday, Hudson had no challenge, BP was fast anytime he hit the track, so was Marlar but did dirty air upset his car for his main ? I thought he would make a run for the front. B Shepp may still be figuring out the differences on that horn to be fast for 100 laps. Madden is still a d*ck, with his longhorn hat on and him smiling. Dark Horse pic, you can never count him out.

I think everyone will be fighting for 2nd. Say what you will, nobody will touch that Landers 49 car, nobody. When they decided to invest in a couple of high dollar engineers last year. It paid off big time. They won a million dollar race last year. Now if the rest of the teams decided to do that, at some point it would'nt make sense. So for now, enjoy the Landers 49 car domination of Eldora to continue. Thorton j, Hudson and Pierce will be strong, but no way they can drive b@lls to the wall for 100 laps and their cars hold up, aka Josh Rice. Davenport will look like hes on a sunday drive saturday night to win another globe. Madden thought switching to Longhorn would fix everything, just watch, it does'nt matter what hes in, His team has nothing for Davenport, nothing. He should have just stayed in the rocket. no way does his team hire high dollar engineers to help him win races. Congrats JD, great driver in a great car. untouchable.

https://www.eldoraspeedway.com/event_coverage/2023-world-100-friday/

Heat 6 looks pretty weak overall. Heat 1 has McCreadie, Feger, Pierce and Moran. Heat 2 is JD, McDowell and Madden. Heat 3 Marlar and Shirley. Heat 4 is Fergy and RTJ. Heat 5 has Hud vs Brandon Overton and Daulton Wilson. Heat 6 is Sheppy's to lose.

Heat 2 looks brutal for guys like Carson Ferguson. Cody Overton and Shannon Babb.

I think a couple teams are sand bagging. Will see tonight, you gotta keeps those tires for the end. Track has been beautiful so far, I say it stands up to lap 60 or 70 then you'll see the guys moving to the front. The place will be packed and the tension in the pits will be as it always is at the world 100. Let's get it on.

Awesome morning post….it’s raining where I’m at so our local racing ain’t gonna happen, kind of excited about that so I can stay and watch the world from the comfort of home. The whole vibe the telecast has is awesome this year. Lots of cool new views, love the music during the 4 wide( I mean if you’re gonna do em might as well do it right for the viewing fans), drone shots off the hook and listening to the guys go back and forth with each other has been pretty cool……a professionally done very informative bullsheeting session from a race shop somewhere by some guys that love racing is what it kinda sounds like…..I love it so far and the racing has even been good. Tonight’s finale with all of the pomp and circumstance that will go with it will just make steak sizzle a little hotter. Well done everyone and like dirt crazy said, “ let’s get it on”.

HH25, Team Rocket had that car dialed in all weekend. If not for the flat Friday Night he would have swept the weekend. They've had speed for most of the year and especially the last few months. Steve Arpin was right you can't keep Mark Richards and Team Rocket down forever.

P1 Rocket
P2 Longhorn
P3 Bloomquist

so, much for the sweep from Longhorn

Last night race was great for the sport. 3 different chassis in the top 3 spots. The race itself was pretty entertaining and Longhorn did not Dominate the World 100. Did they win their fair share of races this weekend. They sure did but, you had Rockets and Bloomquist cars up there as well.

I think the craziest thing would be how those outdated Bloomquist cars were right there in contention and even won a few races. the only reason I said outdated Bloomquist cars is I don't know if those cars are a newer car or 3 or 4 years old. I think they are old cars and if so, do they have any kind of updates on them or are they just that good at Eldora.

I agree that it was a positive sign that there were 3 competitive chassis this weekend. I hope there are more in the future. For all the hype, the Longhorns did not live up to it. With that many top drivers in Longhorns, it was a pretty tame result.

Competition is what makes racing exciting. While the chassis wars aren't requires for great racing, for me personally, I enjoy them and if one brand dominates, it really decreases the fun factor.

McDowell's cars are never outdated. His brother Shane stays on top of it and keeps the car being competitive regardless of how new or old the welded tubes might be. Helps that Dale is insanely smooth behind the wheel, too.

It's good to have more people in the sport and not less. If one chassis dominates and everyone wants one others could possibly fold and leave the sport. It can help keep the cost down somewhat. Just the ole supply and demand comes into play the fewer chassis brands out there.
