Looking to find someone to work with on shocks and springs for our Dirt late model program. Looking for some opinions on who they like to work with and why. We currently have Integras but are up for running anything Fox, Penske, ect. Just would like to find someone good to work with and willing to give some support. The chassis we are running are Xr1s so would like to find someone with experience working with them.

Thanks in advance.

Most regions have a shock guy that's stuff is really dialed for the particular area. Not to say the stuff doesn't work in other areas but if your running a particular set of tracks their is usually an advantage to be had going with one of the local/regional names. Their are plenty of guys that have a great all around package that can line up anywhere though

Be running in MN, WI, IA, and IL mostly. Dirt kings, Wissota, and most open shows in this area.
Thanks.

you want someone thats got knowledge, not just a builder, unless you know what you want,
I've dealt with a couple of different drivers, they all want a little different , because of the way they pick up the gas

In the perfect world, 0- rebound is the most traction, but because of how everyone drives, when and where they pick up the gas, now we have to add control, a rookie driver will need more control than say a top level guy
I've had a guy say "you didn't give me what your running" so we went testing, we ran our car, then put said shocks and springs on his car, he still couldn't run our lap times

so was it the shocks or the driver, to your question allgaier is pretty knowledgable in your area , and they are reasonable also
and todays shocks are all good, so don't get lost in a name, any of the top brands are a great piece, hell a set of steel body bilstiens will win, and if you trash one its 150 bucks, you may have to buy a couple of different valvings but its way cheaper, jmho
