These bodies have gone from cool to ugly, but will probably pass the measurements. Everything is twisted up on that body.

They won't check most of the measurements, but it will probably pass most of them. They have no idea how to write or enforce rules.

The first 3/4 of the car are pointed over there, then the front end is pointed that way.

Well that's definitely a race car and not a stock car.

I don't know what is so hard about making a rule to where the bodies flat on all sides? It would make the cars look much better instead of looking like a derby car that took a wheel shot and kept on going.

Bodies being tilted to the right that hard has been going on since like 2017. Some chassis brands are worse than others when it comes to that.

Yes but this is on a new level, the right side is tucked further in at the front, roof is skewed….its ugly as he!!

The Jeff Gordon car was a good one to post. It was around that time that Big N was realizing they had a problem. The BGN cars were getting especially bad in the early 2000s. Big N has gone through a couple generations of car since that Gordon photo with the ugly Car Of Tomorrow, the generation after with common template composite bodies, and now the newest generation. They seen some problems and addressed them, for better or worse in some cases.

The funny thing is that the bodies rules (or should we say,...suggestions) on dirt supers haven't really changed much in maybe twenty years.

Big block mods of today do not look drastically different from where they were some twenty years ago, with the exception of the series that now let them use the enormous sail panels. They have had some stability in their rules packages concerning body work.

The one thing I'll say about the photo of the skewed body on the super is that it puts the driver more toward the center of the car and away from the left side. There is a safety benefit to that.

At this point Nike should start making chassis since they all look like a shoe

To me it looks like the nose maker guys is dictating the rules to the series instead of the other way around... Same ole situation, no different than housing bubble, nobody wants to be the parent and tell somebody,"No you can't run that". We use to have a maximum distance from ground to body rule of 6 inches, but they quietly let that one go... They outlawed every suspension component your average joe could buy or come up with, but let the body go crazy. All those "gadgets" combined didn't drive the cost up like letting them go bonkers with aero does. Nothing will get fixed until it finally starts hurting the series pockets, When tracks can no longer draw enough cars to fill the field then things might start to change, but nobody I see that can actually make a difference even understands race cars. The top is dictating policy for itself with no regard to the base, just spend, spend, spend. Well with the economic downturn thats coming, I seriously doubt much racing will be left for many years, perhaps more than a decade.

It would be more tolerable if it hadn't completely turned the sport into a follow the leader snoozer on virtually all tracks bigger than a 3/8. Especially the hallowed grounds of Eldora. There hasn't been a real good 100 lapper there since at least 2019. I don't count the Lucas Oil mickey mouse show last fall for the DTWC.

As long as the stands are full for Lucas and Woo races nothing will change.

If that thing ran with our group I promise you it wouldn't look like that after the first one or two laps. We take "rubbin' is racing" seriously and a couple of reverse PIT maneuvers would take care of the problem in a hurry. Call it vigilante law.

At this point they are nothing more than glorified modifieds with those grotesque looking bodies. Lets get back to where they have at lets some semblance of a real production car. The new Chevy Chevelle would make for a great looking car if they went back to the cars looking like they originally were intended to be.

Last Friday during the SAS feature at Screven Bloomer said that if they made the nosepieces smaller it would take care of the entire aero advantage with the bodies nowadays.

They gotta take the rake and huge drop out of the deck too. Up to speed the spoiler is higher than the roof of the car.
