Wonder why they pulled off?

I see he took nearly everything off except Castrol dates. I can't see him not doing Show Me and The Dream, but 11th in Lucas points just isnt cutting it. That team and that driver should be top 6

He said many of the tracks on the Lucas Oil tour just don't appeal to him.

The generally runs pretty good outside of the Lucas tour, so he’s like a prime candidate for an outlaw schedule. I’m sure he’ll still run some Lucas shows at places he likes.

2024 Summernationals champion - said it was on his bucket list to do.

Being based near eldora, he'll have plenty of 5-10k races within a couple hours of the shop just about every weekend. We have the iron man series and revived NALMS. I think he'll do well with dropping off.

Lucas pays pretty bad I think is $3500 for 3rd and realistically how many podiums is he gonna have. A lot less driving miles and better chance to make money racing around the house and going the places you like not where you have to be

Its always about the $$$$$$$$$$

Costs to much to run Lucas if your not wining or runing well.

This topic may head back to the earlier discussion about the purses and what teams are spending. It does show the purses need to be increased since there are so many full time drivers. But the series' have to be careful or many of their tracks won't be able to afford to put on one of these races without charging $50 a ticket for a $15,000 to win race. That's not good for anybody.

Not real good financially for him when they claim it cost (on average) $5000 per race.

This is fantastic news! FINALLY! Erb can take his "talent" and wonderful personality to some 5k shows against regional talent where he has a chance to win. Easily the most overrated driver in the sport. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. LOSER!

Heard might have switched tire brands, don’t know for sure

LM1
05-03-2024, 08:45 AM
That would be good news. There needs to be another tire to compete with the monopoly that the purple mafia has on our sport. Its especially not healthy for the weekend racers to have to pay $200-$300 for a tire that lasts 1-2 nights.

Payouts are better than they’ve ever been but they’re still not good enough to keep up with the costs of racing these days. For the money and miles you have to put in it’s really not worth it to run a series unless your per night average winning is up around $4000. So you’re telling me it would be easier for someone like Terbo to do that running with the best pro’s in the country or would it be easier to do racing smart close to the house against regional guys. But yeah I probably don’t know what I’m talking about

Well with the dollars spent by B Shep he should be ready for the nut house because he really hasn't been to impressive since he jumped ship. I realize the blame must have been on Randall, t-mac gets the up the tailpipe and the B5 struggles. Go figure.

Speaking of ponderosa and Florence why isn’t that being made up this weekend? I can’t think of year when so many national and big regional events have been rained out more than this year. You’d think Lucas/WoO would try to work the make ups into these off weekends

Jking24

This sounds quite a bit Fishy wouldn't you say ? ?No it doesn't because that's not what he said. He basically said he figured their was a high likely hood of pond and Florence canceling so he made the decision to go to Mississippi thunder and if the Lucas shows didn't rain out he was gonna miss them. Kovac called him fishing for a story so he fed Kovac what he wanted to hear. He didn't say he's on our off the tour he said he's gonna race where he wants to and so far he hasn't missed a tour race so technically he's not off tour. The only thing he confirmed is eldora and one of the end of the year shows.
