A top level dirt late model pumps out over 800 hp. Average F1 car is around 750 hp. What do you think about that? Wonder if Alonso and friends could drive one.thank you

An F1 car weighs 1350lbs. So its power to weight is 1.8 pounds per horsepower. At 800 horsepower and 2300lbs, a late models power to weight would be 2.875 pounds for each horsepower. Thus in a way an F1 car is more powerful. Ill say Alonso "and friends" could do "better" in a LM than say Don O'neal in an F1 car. What do you think about that?
f1 cars are for jockeys not real man better comparison is a sprint to F1 CAR 900 HP TO AND SAME WEIGHT
and ask jpm how he in late model lmao
but a sprint cup car weighs 3500 lbs power to weight not even close
but what is the horsepower in a sprint car?
This seasons F1 engines are 2.4 liter V8's with 18,000 rpm capability. Next season they will be switching to turbocharged V6 engines.
Interesting info, interesting thread. First off unless a driver has actually driven a certain type car, it is only speculation how he would do. As for JPM his actual ability to drive a stock car should not be questioned, he was very good. Some of his on track decisions, some of his pit crew work, crew chief decisions and over all capability of his equipment for purposes of getting to the winner's circle are another discussion.
The only reason F1 cars are low is due to all the cost cutting their trying to do to keep teams for full fields. The real beasts were the turbo engines they ran in the 80s. Some of them could reach up to 1300 bhp in qualifying trim. Took a real man to sit in a f1 car with that kind of power plant basically strapped to your back.
