We are going through our Winters rear-end and have discovered two things. The pinion gear is a little bit chewed up and the through-shaft has some tight spots in it when you spin it.
What is the PROPER way to get these out of the center section?
After removing the bolts and the retaining ring, heat the center section to about 275-300* and the parts will pull right out. Besure to wear gloves!! Also look on Winters website as they have a online (paper available also) catalog with a parts breakdown, and setup instructions towards the back.
