I'm installing a new Clements ford limited motor in my late model and am using an external belt driven oil pump. Is it necessary/ advantageous to run an oil cooler? If so, is there a better type? Thanks

Yes use one!!!
Setrab is the way to go.
You don't have to run one, but it would probably be a good idea. I run an external on my Mod and don't have an oil cooler.
I use one from PPM. Its worked great for several years now. If you get on a track thats hooked up hammer down you will be glad you had one.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback
