Lawrenceburg, IN – On Saturday night, July 3rd, the KOI Auto Parts UMP Modifieds will compete for one of the largest modified purses in the area at the 10th Annual Merrill Downey Memorial presented by Tempstar Heating & Cooling Products at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
The 2021 edition will pay a record-breaking $10,444.44 to win, $4,044 for second place, $2,044 for third place, and $444 to start the 44-lap feature.
With additional prizes available including $100 to the Best Appearing Car, $100 for the fastest qualifier in each session, $444 to win the Dash, and $44 for each lap led in the feature, a driver could walk away with over $13,000 for one night of racing!

Devin Gilpin was the inaugural Merill Downey Memorial winner in 2012, and all-time Lawrenceburg Speedway feature win leader Joey Kramer took home the checkered flag in 2013. Nick Hoffman led the final four laps for the win in 2014, Victor Lee led every lap in 2016, and Lucas Lee was the winner in 2017.
