According to a facebook post, the pavement has been removed at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Cecil, Georgia; will be dirt for 2016. True?
That post would be easy to believe: GA's pile of dead asphalt short tracks includes Lanier, Gresham's/Peach State, Albany, probably South Georgia, and Senoia. Albany and Senoia live on in dirt.
Got to something with it, just sitting there. Bad thing you have Waycross and Needmore close by.
There's a drag strip next to it ... looked like they had a good turnout when I drove by it on Jan.2nd.

South Georgia Motor Sports Park
This beautiful 1/2 mile track in Cook County Georgia (near Valdosta) will be covered in red clay very soon according to Chris Davis who is working with the owner to bring it to life. A video will be coming soon about what's in the works.

just FYI, a friend of mine went by there this past week and it was still asphalt.........
I am heading to south georgia in few days to drag race ill see whats going on at circle track .
