Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Closes 2015 Season at Florence Speedway October 23, 24
Glasgow, KY-October 9, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will close out the 2015 racing tour with a Friday and Saturday doubleheader of racing action at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Friday October 23 and Saturday October 24. The Friday October 23 event has just been added to the schedule and will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start, while the tour’s Season Championship event will be on Saturday October 24 and pay $5,000 to win and $250 to start. .
The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Florence Speedway in Union, KY on Friday October 23 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Florence Speedway on Friday October 23 will be the track’s Super Late Model division racing for $2,000 to win and the track’s Pro Late Model division racing for $500 to win. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, beginning June 1, there is NO grooving of rear tires. The legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only. Also, Florence Speedway uses the Westhold brand of transponders for timing and scoring purposes and if a driver does not have their own transponder, there is $10 transponder rental fee.
Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Florence Speedway on Friday October 23 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m. and the general admission area open at 6:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing at 7:30 p.m. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Florence Speedway on Friday October 23 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.
