As fun as you are trying to be, you are not far from the truth.
Sheeps foot, pack it, till/grade it up... Repeat this many many times.
Whenever we put down new clay, the best/only way for it to pack somewhat correct, was nonstop laps with the grader, sheep foot, and packing trucks.
Only way there gonna fix it is get a inline ripper that will allow them to get down below the new dirt .. that way the track can drain. For the life of Me I don't understand why they didn't do this before putting the new dirt on .. they put it on top of a sealed track . Now they have mush . Ran Push Truck for Earl for 10 years.. He had a Grader, Sheepsfoot and a Pickup truck for 50 years.. They continue to screw it up . Along with the banking. Tony needs to decide whether He's gonna play drag racing,Cup teams or Sprint teams or run a Racetrack. If it's the first three," sell it and put Chad Schmitmeyer Earls Grandson back in charge of track prep.
we need that guy from b town with the bulldozer......
Do like Volusia did for speedweeks. Remember they put new dirt down and it was awful racing. So what they did was scrape off the new dirt and the racing was good for the rest of speedweeks
I never realized we had so many track prep experts here on 4m.
Is it the new dirt or has it been raining multiple days a week all spring like here in Minnesota?
I like what livewire is saying 👍
http://www.lancastersuperspeedway.com/ Best groomed track that I have seen week after week. Hire these folks if you want a properly groomed track.
Stewart is there now working the track. It will be smooth like a paved NASCAR track now
Several years ago I went to a big race st tri state speedway Indiana an they had put wood chips in the dirt instead of saw dust and it came apart now that was rough but Eldora wasn't that rough a little rough makes for good racing most of the time but tri state is probably the best prepared track in the country now
