Rain Postpones GIS NeSmith Late Models Until Sunday Afternoon

BRUNSWICK, GA – Rain has postponed Saturday night’s NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Round 5 of the RockAuto.com Winter Shootout at Golden Isles Speedway until Sunday afternoon. Gates will open at 10 a.m. with Hot Laps scheduled for 12:30 p.m. The 24-car field for the NeSmith Late Model main event was set on Saturday before rain washed out the main events.

David Smith of Inman, SC set fast time at 16.262 seconds in the Upstate Wholesale Cars Special to earn the pole position for the main event. P.L. Williams of Dublin, GA was the second quick qualifier and will start the main event on the outside of the front row in the Dublin Tire TNT.
