You look at how low impulse control manifests itself in riots, lootings, criminal behaviors, police interactions, heck even professional athletes on the field and flags they get for cheap hits, taunting, and fighting. It is all low impulse control (LIC).
In the case of the girl shot while actively attacking another with a knife, it was completely justified. It would have been justified for a citizen with a CCW to intervene to save the life of another in risk of death or great bodily harm. But look at the reactions and perspectives from the LIC crowd. Valerie Jarrett, a woman who advised a president, saying that knife fights between girls are somehow normal and should be ignored by the police. Are you f*(%ing kidding me!? Just more pandering to those with LIC.
If you are the parent of the girl being attacking - you want want some intervention to save your kid's life. I guess if your the "parent" of the kid being stopped from stabbing another by use of force - you will minimize and make excuses, and very stupid excuses at that. Perspectives. Enter Ben Crump.
What if the police would show up and just let it happen? Then what? The white cop would be crucified for letting a black girl die and get blamed for not taking action - because of race. No win in this situation.
So yeah, as some have mentioned or alluded to, what if the police now just hear the call and drag the parking brake as they slow roll to the call for service? Who can blame that thought from entering their mind? Is this what they really want? Show up after the fact, pick up the pieces, pick up the bodies, try to solve a crime with the no snitch culture and move on. Let em have at it.
