ULTIMATE Super Late Models Set to Open County Line Raceway’s 2017 Season

Elm City, North Carolina (March 12, 2017) – The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will open up the 2017 season for County Line Raceway with the Tar River Rumble on Saturday, March 18th at the 3/8ths of a mile oval located in Elm City, North Carolina. The ULTIMATE Supers will headline with a $4000 to win / 40 lap feature event in the Tar River Rumble. The event will also include the opening round of the Southeast Dirt Modified Series.

County Line Raceway has been a stalwart on the ULTIMATE schedule for several years. “County Line is one of those neat little hidden gems. The local fan base is awesome and the racing is always good. We always have a great time when we go there. To me it is a real throwback type facility – from the hand lettered walls to their really loyal “County Line Crazies” fan following. We should have a pretty eclectic mix of drivers with our travelers mixed with some locals and some of that mid-Atlantic crowd. It should be a great show.” said ULTIMATE Series Director Kelley Carlton.

Drivers from around the region are expected to be in action at County Line Raceway including ULTIMATE Series regulars Dennis “Rambo” Franklin of Gaffney, South Carolina; Toccoa, Georgia’s Casey Roberts; Dustin Mitchell of Pine Level, North Carolina; Tyler Millwood of Kingston, Georgia; Ocala, Florida’s Ivedent Lloyd and Newberry, South Carolina driver Brett Hamm. Along with the series regulars look for regional standouts like Mt. Holly, North Carolina’s Chris Ferguson; Beaver Dam, Virginia’s Russell Erwin; Donald Bradsher of Burlington, North Carolina; Michael Rouse of Wilson, North Carolina and Georgetown, Delaware driver Ross Robinson.

County Line will host an open practice session on Friday night from 7 to 10 PM. Pit gates will open at 5 and admission is $15 for adults 11 and up. 10 and under is $5. On Saturday the pit gate opens at 4 PM with the grandstands opening at 5. Drivers meeting is slated for 6:30 with racing to follow. Grand stand tickets are $20 for adults 16 and up. Ages 11-15 are $5 and 10 and under are FREE. Pit passes are $30 for adults 11 and up. 10 and under are $10. County Line Raceway is located at 6953 Stagecoach Road in Elm City, North Carolina.
