“Hot Rod” Conley Wins Dash; Finishes on Podium in Don and Hans Gross Memorial

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) "Hot Rod" Conley returned to Super Late Model competition on Saturday evening, July 25 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. The annual running of the 'Don and Hans Gross Memorial' was on tap at WCS and a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs for the cars and stars racing with the Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Series.

Rod qualified well and later won the fast dash to earn the pole position for the A-Main. The Wheelersburg, Ohio hotshoe then ran amongst the leaders throughout the distance and eventually nabbed a strong third place podium effort behind only race winner Doug Drown and runner-up Cody Scott! For the first time in several weeks, Rod will not be the lone Conley Motorsports, Inc, (CMI) driver in action this upcoming weekend, as his brother R.J. Conley will join him at Atomic Speedway on Saturday night, August 1. ‘Hall of Fame Night’ will be held tomorrow at the Alma, Ohio oval and both Conley brothers will vie for the $4,000 winner’s check in the unsanctioned contest.
