What kinda car? What suspension? What springs? Give us something.
86 mustang stock suspension
I rolled over in a mustang once years ago, cant say I care to do it again...
When I had my mustang it was all OEM shocks/struts, I ran a V8 strut on RF
For rear shocks I always ran NAPA 94079 shocks
Find some racing springs, I ran a 650 RF, OEM cut to height LF, 200 RR, and 225 or 250 LR.
I believe front springs were 9.5" tall and I used spring cups to set ride height, 11" tall springs in rear.
Okay thank you also I am running against coil over cars and full tube cars. Will it improve if I put a wedge nose on the front. Or just keep it stock?
All the tracks in my area require stock mounted suspension only in 4 cyl. so I have no comparison to running against coilover/tube chassis cars. I doubt a wedge nose will make any real noticeable difference.
Aerodynamics don't really come into play until about the 70mph area. Even there it can hurt more with the limited power of a 4 cyl. I really think that you will need to be really well set up to be able to be competitive against tube chassis cars with adjustable suspensions unless they put weight on them to try to even out the times.
I put a 6 in spoiler on my Mustang to prove a point and lost 100 RPM and just over 2/10 of a second in lap times. Took it off and got back what I lost. Part of that was added drag and part was the set up went slightly tight.
