Richmond Raceway’s KDRA Spring Fling $1,200 to win Saturday May 13

Richmond, KY (May 7, 2017)- Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will return to action on Saturday May 13 at the 3/10 mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” with the KDRA Spring Fling, paying $1,200 to win for KDRA Super Stocks, along with a full racing program for Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, and Stock Four Cylinders.

Richmond Raceway will present the KDRA Spring Fling on Saturday May 13 and will see the KDRA Super Stock division highlighted in a 25 lap, $1,200 to win contest. Also in competition at the KDRA Spring Fling on Saturday May 13 will be the track’s Late Model division racing $1,500 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, and the Stock Four Cylinder division racing for $500 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track. Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the Saturday May 13 KDRA Spring Fling event at Richmond Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m. All times EDT. Ticket prices for the May 13 KDRA Spring Fling event at Richmond Raceway in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted free. A pit pass will cost $35, with children ages 6 to 12 $15, and children ages 5 and under free.
