Pair of Top 5’s for Cody Mahoney; Deep Fried 75 Next

Seymour, Indiana (10/13/16) – Cody Mahoney notched a pair of Top 5 finishes over the weekend in Kentucky in his Black Diamond by Club 29 Race Car #4 FK Rod Ends/ Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Competing in the unsanctioned OctoberFest, Cody Mahoney traveled to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) on Friday for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. In a field of 15 cars, Cody scored a 4th-place finish in his heat race, locking his spot into the main event. Breaking into the Top 5, Mahoney landed a 5th-place finish in the 35-lap feature, trailing Billy Moyer Jr., Michael Chilton, Greg Johnson, and Jason Jameson across the finish line.

The following night brought Mahoney to Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Kentucky) for the annual Paul “Butterball” Woolridge Memorial. With 31 Super Late Models registered, Mahoney earned the 4th-starting spot for the feature after capturing a heat race win. Battling for a $10,059 payday, Cody dropped one position in the 59-lapper, notching a 5th-place finish behind Tyler Carpenter, Billy Moyer Jr., Tanner English, and Justin Rattliff.
