Which intake
355 sbc with dart 200cc heads. Forged bottom end with some pistons. 12.5:1 compression. Cam is around a .570 lift. (Can’t remember exact numbers without my cam card.) 2 barrel 500 cfm carb. We have a 7,000 rpm rule in our class. Which intake would be the best all around for this combination?

The Brodix catalogue in front of me would say BM1000 is a good fit.

Specs I looked up for that intake show an RPM range of 4000-8000. Wouldn’t that kill my lower end torque coming off the corner since I have to run a 7000 RPM limit?
-
Edelbrock 2901 manifold is hard to beat if you're limited to a two barrel and 7,000 rpm. I've built several engines close to what you have and the 2901 is near perfect for them. It also has 4 corner water outlets if cooling is any problem.

we have had very good success in the range your looking for with the edelbrock air gap , the last one we bought was on E-Bay for under 200 bucks .....

I see what your saying. It's just what the book states. Maybe a call would be better.
Maybe the book is based on drag stuff, where drivable is less important.

McFarland TorkLink (if you can find one)

edelbrock rpm air gap would be the best

hi. I don't think there's a problem with that.
