Richmond Raceway Test and Tune Open Practice Cancelled for Saturday April 4
Richmond, KY- April 4, 2015- Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz were set to present a glimpse into “The Dawn of a New Era” at Richmond Raceway this Saturday April 4 as the 3/10 mile clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” was scheduled to be open for a test and tune open practice, but the force known as Mother Nature has caused it to be cancelled.
Heavy rains throughout the evening and overnight on Thursday, along with more rain that fell at various times throughout the day on Friday and into Friday evening have left track officials no other option but to cancel the practice due to the wet grounds and wet track conditions.
Richmond Raceway will now officially kick off “The Dawn of a New Era” with its 2015 season opening event, scheduled for Saturday April 11. Divisions that will be in competition on Saturday April 11 at the 2015 season opening event will include Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones. More details about the season opener for April 11 will be released tomorrow, including times and payouts.
