What does everyone run for an air filter. Not asking about the top and bottom, asking about the element. Looking for a part number for a 14x4 paper filter with the foam prefilter.

Get an R2C. You won't regret it.
R2C ....Only way to go!!
Luberfiner filter AF644, I just bought one its 14x4 with the foam prefilter.
I use a NAPA GOLD I think the number is 2096 but don't hold me too that.
it is a 14x4
I like the R2C because they seal so much better to the air cleaner housing. I've ran the Wix and Napa filters also but I notice the carburetor is cleaner when I run an R2C. I use the cheapest one - Sportsman series. Part number SSR10501 for a 14 x 4
With the NAPA/WIX filter, i also run a 1/4" single sided adhesive foam seal that seals the base and top to the air filter element. carb is clean as a new one.
I don't understand why anyone would still run paper filters. 10 $10 filters and you've already paid for an R2C. I've had my R2C for 3 years now. Seems like a no brainer to me
he is allways out front in clean air
I've used K&N ,R2C and paper with good luck with them all.The one thing that helped the most was to wipe the housing off and the rubber on the filter. Then put a lite coating of grease on the rubber.Do this every week. Also the aluminum housings bend very easily. Not a big fan of R2C only because when I said that I dynoed a r2c and a k&n, the k&n was 1 or 2 hp better. The guy running r2c PM me, telling me there was no way, his product was so much better blah blah ...
Not worried about 2 hp...rather have a clean motor!
Ive seen the R2C loose flow/hp on the dyno after 10-15 weeks of racing and cleaned after each night.
I choose to run a standard paper filter with an outter wear prefilter. I replace them as needed, depends on track condition. I get 2-3 night out of them and ZERO dirt in the carb. Eric
SRX - have you ever dynoed with an Outerwear on? If you have ever dynoed anything over 500 hp and over 7000 RPM you would not be running them anymore...
I've never dynoed an extremely dirty filter. Good to know.
I'd like to know how a 2year old R2C compares to a new R2C on the dyno?
