Two Arkansas Tracks Join NeSmith Chevrolet WRS For 2011

CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series has announced the addition of two new tracks in Arkansas for the 2011 season, and the beginning phase of a new Region. Drew County Speedway in Monticello, AR and Centerville Speedway in Centerville, AR have joined the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series for the 2011 season.

That sets the foundation for a new Region for the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series where Arkansas dirt late model competitors will have the opportunity to compete for a track point fund, as well as a Regional point fund that will pay the winner $5,000 and pay back the top ten positions at the end of the season that will run from April 1, 2011 through October 2, 2011.

There has been a lot of interest in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series from both Arkansas dirt tracks and drivers in recent weeks. Series officials have been in contact with several other Arkansas track operators in an effort to sign even more tracks to create the new Region.

“Drew County Speedway and Centerville Speedway have recognized this new interest in Crate Late Model racing in Arkansas and have stepped up to the plate to get on the bandwagon to start creating a new Region for the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series in 2011,” NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Director Roby Helm said. “Both the track operators and the racers see the economic advantage in that they can put together a ready-to-race dirt late model for the same price that some competitors have in their Hobby Stock engines alone.”
