Ponderosa Speedway Announces 2016 Track Champions

Junction City, KY (October 21, 2016)- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenivs are pleased to announce the track champions at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” for the 2016 season in their respective division.

The track champions at Ponderosa Speedway for the 2016 racing season are as follows: Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY in Super Late Models, Jake Henry of Junction City, KY in Pro Late Models, David Webb of Nicholasville, KY in Modifieds, Terry Cheeks of Paint Lick, KY in KDRA Super Stocks, Dylan Stevens of Morehead, KY in Stock Four Cylinders, and Blake Brown of Corbin, KY and Andrew Parson of Greensburg, KY tied for the title in Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

Ponderosa Speedway will conclude the 2016 racing season with a pair of special events. On Friday November 4, the track will present the 16th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial, paying $3,000 to win for Super Late Models (the Super Late Models will be unsanctioned, but Southern Nationals Bonus Series officials will officiate the Super Late Model portion of the program), along with a full racing program for Pro Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, Stock Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones. The season will conclude on Saturday November 5 with the 26th Annual Fall Classic, which will see the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models in action for $10,000 to win, along with Pro Late Models and Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win in each division, plus the American Dirt Allstars sanctioned KDRA Super Stocks will contest the 2nd Annual Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event, paying $1,200 to win.
