Ponderosa Speedway SNBS 26th Annual Fall Classic $10,000 to win on Saturday November 5
Junction City, KY (October 23, 2016)- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenivs will conclude a two-race weekend at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Saturday November 5 with the 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting and sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series for Super Late Models, paying $10,000 to win.
Also on the 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting racing program will be Pro Late Models ($1,200 to win), Modifieds ($1,200 to win), American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks ($1,200 to win 2nd Annual Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial), Stock Four Cylinders ($500 to win), and Mini-Cup/Cyclones ($150 to win).
This event will cap off a huge weekend of racing activities at Ponderosa Speedway. There will be an open practice night at the track on Thursday November 3 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. and it is free to watch in the general admission area, while a pit pass will be $15. The 16th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Memorial presented by Yeager Insulation will take place on Friday November 4 and will see Super Late Models race for $3,000 to win, followed the next evening on Saturday November 5 by the track’s 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting, paying $10,000 to win for the Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned Super Late Models.
The 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting at Ponderosa Speedway will take place on Saturday November 5 and will feature the Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned Super Late Models in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 50 lap, $10,000 to win 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting A-Main event. Also on the 26th Annual Fall Classic racing program on Saturday November 5 will be track’s Pro Late Model and Modified divisions, with each class racing for $1,200 to win. In addition, the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks will be in competition in the 2nd Annual Bobby Carrier, Sr. Memorial event, paying $1,200 to win, plus Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $150 to win. All divisions, except for Super Late Models, will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions, while Super Late Models will have a separate time trials session. RACEceivers are mandatory for use in all divisions and transponder timing/scoring will be used and the transponder rental fee is $10. All drivers are urged to be at the track and signed in by 7:00 p.m.
Also, the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will pay a $200 bonus to the highest finishing driver using a CT525 series engine and a $200 bonus to the highest finishing driver using a Steel Head/Spec engine. For the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models, the entry fee for the event for Super Late Models is $100 and the tire rule for the event is as follows: Hoosier: 1300, 1350, 1600, and LM40; American Racer: 44, 48, and 56. These tire compounds will be the only legal tire compounds for on all four tires for Super Late Model competitors. In addition, random tire samples will be taken by the series at any time during the course of the event.

Activities for the Saturday November 5 Fall Classic racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see earlier gate and start times, with the pit area and general admission area opening at 1:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 4:30 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to begin at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing. Tickets prices for the Saturday November 5 racing program in the general admission will be $30 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be FREE. In the pit area, a pit pass for adults will be $45, while children ages 6 to 12 will be $15, with children ages 5 and under FREE.
In addition, two-day passes will be available for those individuals wishing to attend both the 16th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial presented by Yeager Insulation on November 4 and the 26th Annual Fall Classic presented by Caton Industrial Painting. A two-day general admission pass can be purchased for $40, while a two-day pit pass can be purchased for $70.
